Who are we:
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.


Role Overview:

The Production Line Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production line operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. The role involves managing a team of operators, optimizing line performance, and driving continuous improvement in processes and productivity.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily/shift production schedules to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively to ensure smooth line flow and minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and coach line operators, provide on‑the‑job training, set expectations, and manage performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, 5S, and regulatory requirements on the production floor.
  • Monitor product quality, coordinate with QA/QC, and take corrective actions for defects or process deviations.
  • Track production KPIs (OEE, yield, rejection, rework, downtime) and implement improvements to achieve targets.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to plan preventive maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns.
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and maintain production documentation: shift reports, checklists, incident reports, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with planning, stores, quality, engineering, and HR to ensure material availability and staffing.


Who Can Apply?

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Electrical, Automobile, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 –3 years experience in production/assembly line operations, preferably automotive or similar manufacturing.
  • Strong people‑management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of production planning, line balancing, quality tools, and basic lean concepts.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle fast‑paced, target‑driven environments.
